Eagles News · BCHS Girls’ Golf Preview 2019

The Brown County girls’ golf team welcomes back four of its top five players from last season’s highly successful season. Posting a 12-1 dual and three-way match record, a third place WIC finish, and a program first- ever berth in the IHSAA regional, last season’s team relied heavily on its #1 player, Ashley Masteller, who has graduated and taken her skills to IU East in Richmond. Returning this season are seniors Allison Stogsdill, Taylor Poling, and Aubrey Hollander, back from a knee surgery that kept her out of the lineup last season. Sophomores Ainslie Winton, who anchored the #2 spot for most of the season before relinquishing it to Stogsdill, and Abby Padgett are back to provide experience and depth to the Eagle squad.

The team not only boasts experience but has ample numbers as well. Freshmen Kaitlyn Doss, Avery Patterson, Kennedy Root, and Savannah Oden will add to the roster along with sophomore Christy Sebastian and junior Courtney Hill, who played some her freshman year.

The Eagles open the season Wednesday, August 7, at 4:30 P.M. when they host Indian Creek at Salt Creek Golf Retreat.
