The boys’ 4×800 team of Isaiah Keefauver, Marino Dolph, Jackson McPheeters, and Wyatt Wyman finished 6th in the 4×800 meter relay in a school-record time of 7:49.43. The Eagles were seeded 12th coming into the race and moved well ahead of their seed. Wyman and McPheeters had a little break before they both came back and competed in the 800 meter run. Both Eagles ran strong with Wyman finishing 16th and McPheeters 26th. However, the Eagles were not done as they finished the night off breaking a 32-year school record in the 4×400 meter relay. With only about a 20 minute break from the 800, Wyman and McPheeters joined Keefauver and Dale Phelps to break the record in a time of 3:24.68, finishing 22nd. Wyman and McPheeters have created a club of their own as the only Eagles to ever compete in 3 events in a single state championship. On Friday, Vivien Crimmins closed out her outstanding career on the track as she competed in the 100 hurdles state championship. Crimmins finished the event in 25th. Congratulations Eagles!
